A connoisseur of literary classics, Peggy Butler began writing at the age of 10. It was Langston Hughes’ metaphoric poem "What Happens to a Dream Deferred," that fueled her love of the written word.
Unlike many writers who specialize in a particular subject, she prefers to write about everything. No topic is too boring or too bizarre. The Florida native says writing gives her a sense of freedom that is both therapeutic and satisfying.
A freelance writer since 1989, Butler has written for various magazines and Internet publications including Impact Press, Africana.com., TimBook Tu and Emerging Minds (a popular ezine based in Atlanta). Moreover, Butler who lists collecting 60s memorabilia among her hobbies; writes news, features, sports and entertainment articles, as well as commentaries and humor pieces.
Currently, she is a contributor for theblackmarket.com and a expert author for EzineArticles.com. As a freelance writer, her ultimate goal is to write a best seller, titled "How I Survived the 20th Century Without Going Bonkers." Look out Toni Morrison, here she comes.
